NVIS manufactures professional virtual reality displays that allow users to visually explore and interact with simulated 3D environments. Our products can be found in the most demanding training, simulation, and research applications around the world. NVIS products are designed to make VR technology more widespread and accessible in more applications than ever before.
NVIS products represent the culmination of more than 30 man-years of experience in optical, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Our engineering team understands the history of VR and the changing requirements of our customers. This insight provides NVIS with the tools to advance the state-of-the-art for virtual reality displays, and bring to market innovative products designed to provide unsurpassed visual performance in a device that is comfortable and easy to use.
NVIS products are engineered to provide users with uncompromising quality in all aspects of design including visual performance, ergonomics, and reliability. NVIS has built its reputation by delivering products with unsurpassed visual acuity that are easy to use and backed by a company dedicated to supporting every user, every partner, and every relationship we make. With the nVisor SX, NVIS has created a new standard of visual performance for professional virtual reality applications with the first commercially available HMD to offer users full SXGA resolution for under $25k. In 2011 NVIS has leveraged new Organic Light Emitting Diode display technology and released the nVisor ST50 boasting many features including optical see-through capability, built in headphones and microphone, and programmable USB buttons for under $18K.
NVIS is committed to providing the best customer service and support in the industry. Our customers and partners make large investments in our products and we respect this by offering full service product warranties and lifetime technical support. Every successful user helps grow our business, and we never take this for granted.
NVIS engineers are actively involved in developing the next generation of virtual reality displays. Although our industry has matured, we've seen little progress towards building truly wearable displays. NVIS plans to address this widespread weakness with innovative new designs that provide superior ergonomic features for an easy to use, more comfortable HMD.
Since we started in 2002, NVIS has participated in the Department of Defence's SBIR/STTR program. These projects provide NVIS with funding for new product development that serve our military's visual training requirements while expanding our product line of commercially available, high-performance VR displays.
With industry leading display products deployed throughout the world, supported by a commitment to our customers and their applications, NVIS moves forward with the technical and financial strength to expand its product line with user-focused, ergonomically designed, professional virtual reality displays. The next generation of NVIS products will support our growing customer base with more robust visual performance and greater reliability, while attracting emerging applications such as dismounted soldier training and medical visualization. NVIS is excited to continue advancing the technology in our industry and provide our knowledge and products to the growth of Virtual Reality.
